{We open on a shot of the Agganis Arena, and the crowd can be heard chanting “COM-BAT! COM-BAT! COM-BAT!” before the lights go out, a single spotlight shines down on the middle of the ring, where Spike Kane stands. The crowd erupt as the God of Xtreme stands there, soaking it in, before he raises a mic.}Spike Kane: Tonight, we take to the air with a passion, an adrenaline, a fury the likes of which has never been seen!
{Pop from the crowd.}Spike: From the Polynesian Prodigy, to the best Competitive Eater on the planet, from the strong style of Tenryu, to the star power of Zelda freaking Knite. We’ve brought the talent to you, we’ve brought the action to you…..and tonight, we kick start a revolution of our own….because WE! ARE! COMBAT!
{He raises the mic into the air and the sold out crowd goes wild. “The Enemy” by I Prevail begins to play as a video package rolls highlighting the members of the Combat Roster, before we cut to a studio where we see both Shea O’Hara and Rob Diamond sitting at a table.}Shea O’Hara: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first ever Friday Night Fury!
Rob Diamond: We kicked off tonight's show with my InFamous buddy Spike Kane laying down the law of the land, and drawing a line in the sand!
Shea O’Hara: That’s right Rob, Spike introduced the show to the fans and we were soon right down to action.
Rob Diamond: Hell yes we did. We had the first match pitting the hard hitting Satoshi Tenryu from Japan against the man they call HardKore and the self proclaimed Polynesian Prodigy Taane.
Shea O’Hara: The match started at a relatively slow pace, as each of the men began to feel each other out.
Rob Diamond: Then Tenryu began to showcase why he’s such a big attraction to Combat with some hard hitting offence. It almost looked like he had the match won after hitting the Penalty Kick on Taane, but HardKore dumped him out of the ring before he could cover. Luckily enough HardKore took too long to cover, and Taane kicked out.
Shea O’Hara: The two would then go back and forth with a few false finishes between the two of them, building to the finale of the match.
Rob Diamond: Let’s take a look at how things went down.
{Inside the ring HardKore is lifting himself up on the ropes as Taane staggers to his feet, trying to get his bearings. HardKore steps up with increasing speed as he grabs Taane and whips him off the ropes, he swings for a lariat but Taane ducks underneath. On the return he hits HardKore with a diving forearm, throwing his hands in the air for HardKore to get back up.}
Shea O’Hara: The momentum seems to be swinging back in Taane’s direction.
Rob Diamond: HardKore almost had the match earlier, but things seem to be-OH!
{As Taane was dragging HardKore to his feet, he sends a stiff uppercut to the throat of Taane. The Polynesian Prodigy staggers backwards and HardKore grabs him, ready to set up for The Saviour! However, out of almost nowhere Tenryu is back in the ring and hits HardKore with the superman forearm! HardKore falls backwards and rolls to the apron. Tenryu roars as he tenses his arms and balls his fists. He turns around to go for Taane, but he catches him off guard!}
Shea O’Hara: ALL BLACKOUT!
{Taane hits Tenryu with the All Blackout and flops down for the pinfall, the referee slides in and counts….ONE! ….TWO! ….THREE!!! "Tangaroa (God Of The Sea)" by Tiki Taane begins to play over the sound system as Taane climbs to his feet and the referee holds his arm up to a pretty good reaction from the crowd. Then we cut back to the studio.}
Rob Diamond: Taane will now go down in the history books as the first superstar to ever pick up a victory in Combat Wrestling!
Shea O’Hara: It was a stellar beginning to the show with all three men putting in the effort for the victory, and surely endearing themselves to our fans.
Rob Diamond: Next up we were scheduled to have our first womens match in Combat, but we’d like to take this chance to point out a tweet made by Spike Kane himself.
{A picture if shown of Spike Kane’s tweet with the following:
“@kane_Spike - As Friday Night Fury rolls on I’m proud to announce tournaments to name our first mens and womens championships will begin next week! #CombatWrestlingBefore we cut back to Shea and Rob.}Shea O’Hara: That’s pretty big news. It’s something that has been on the lips of everyone in the company.
Rob Diamond: With the next match coming up, you’d have to think that the womens championship tournament was heavily on the minds of both Lizzy Dalmon and Amber Cooke!
Shea O’Hara: It certainly must have been, and both women seemed to go out there with a point to prove. Amber had a clear wrestling advantage over Dalmon, but Lizzy was not to be counted out. She held her own in the beginning moments of the match.
Rob Diamond: These two ladies put on a show, so let’s take it in.
{Inside the ring the crowd are making a lot of noise as the women square off with each other, the effects of the match earlier taking their toll. They lock up and Lizzy goes for a headlock takedown, but Amber plants her feet and instead lifts up Lizzy Dalmon and drops her with a back body drop. She rises to her feet, almost to attention as she looks out at the crowd, some are cheering, and some are booing. Either way, the fans respect the effort being put in by both women.}
Shea O’Hara: Lizzy Dalmon has come to Combat to prove herself once and for all.
Rob Diamond: I mean the Dalmons are well known for throwing their cash around, I don’t even want to think how much Spike had to pay her.
Shea O’Hara: I’m sure Spike did good business getting Dalmon on the roster, he’s always been proud of his business mindset.
{Amber Cooke looks down on Lizzy as she rolls to all fours. Amber smirks before hitting the ropes, signalling the end for Lizzy Dalmon. Amber steps forwards and goes for the Bouncing Betty! BUT LIZZY ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! Amber slams her foot in the mat and then shouts in pain, not expecting Dalmon to move at all. Amber limps and hops a little, but Lizzy is quick to act, she grabs Amber from behind and rolls her up for the pin! The referee slides around the other side, and Lizzy Dalmon lifts her feet onto the ropes! THE REF DOESN’T SEE IT! He counts….ONE! ….TWO! …..THREE!! The referee calls for the bell, just as Lizzy quickly drops off the ropes and smirks broadly. “We Can't Stop” by Trust the Medic begins to play as Lizzy quickly slides out of the ring to avoid an angry Amber Cooke!}
Shea O’Hara: Come on ref! She cheated!
Rob Diamond: You’ve gotta respect that, win by any means there. Lizzy Dalmon will go down in history as the first woman to win a match in Combat!
{Amber is on her knees now looking through the ropes and glaring at Lizzy who is backing up the ramp, and just smiling at Amber. Then we cut back to the studio.}Shea O’Hara: Nice to see Lizzy Dalmon hasn’t changed much, eh Rob?
Rob Diamond: Dalmons get ahead Shea, it’s just what they do. Lizzy deserves some respect for taking the initiative to come to Combat and really earn her stripes.
Shea O’Hara: With that being said, there were three men looking to earn their stripes this week. A competitive eater, a former (disgraced) student of Spike Kane and even a former male stripper!
Rob Diamond: Well I know I’m excited, let’s check out how the match finished up.
{In the ring now are Killian Kold, Hungry Jack and Max Ramsey. Jack is quite clearly gassed, but still standing. The two smaller men have thrown everything they can at him. Killian seems to motion to Max that they should both take on Jack, and signals for them to attack. Both men charge towards Jack but at the last second Killian pulls back a step or two. Ramsay charges at Hungry Jack and slams forearm after forearm into the professional eater. To his credit Jack takes every shot in his stride. Eventually Max has Jack leaning on the ropes and just as he’s about to move Killian comes in and the two of them clothesline Hungry Jack over the top rope.}
Rob Diamond: Damn, it took two guys to get Jack out of the ring.
Shea O’Hara: Hungry Jack might not be the most technically gifted athlete, but he is very hard to put down.
{Ramsay turns and shoves Kold, getting in his face and shouting at him. Killian laughs before kicking Max in the gut and hooking him for the Kold Killer! The crowd react to the vicious move, but Killian doesn’t go for the cover! Instead he rises to his feet and looks over the ropes just to check on Jack and if he’s getting up or not.}
Rob Diamond: What is this kid doing? Go for the pin dumbass!
Shea O’Hara: Killian Kold certainly isn’t cut from the same cloth as everyone else. Most people would have gone right into the cover after a move like that, but he has other plans.
{Killian slowly, but surely drags Max Ramsey back to his feet by his short hair and screams towards the crowd that he “promised to hurt someone” before hooking Ramsay once more and delivering another Kold Killer! Max is out cold, and the referee is trying to check on him. He’s about to call the match off when Killian shoves the referee out of the way and drags Max back to his feet once more. He turns to face the hard camera and stares a deep hole into it as he hooks Max once more, before the crowd erupts.}Shea O’Hara: It’s Spike Kane!
Rob Diamond: What the hell is he doing out here!?
{Killian turns to see Spike running to the ring, Spike jumps up onto the apron and shouts at Killian to let Max go. At first Kold just stares right at Spike, before in an almost snap action he hits Ramsay with another Kold Killer. The crowd go quiet, tension fills the air. Killian stands with his arms outstretched. Spike motions to the back to send EMT’s down before he climbs in the ring, he walks right up to Killian and shouts at him to “get out of my ring!” the crowd all “oooh” in response but Killian simply smirks at Spike, before he drops to his back and walks backwards up the ramp, arms outstretched all the way up, his smirk never leaving his face. Spike squats down to check on Max Ramsay, once more we cut to the studio.}
Rob Diamond: What a start to his Combat career for Killian Kold! He wins the match via technical knockout, and immediately rubs his boss the wrong way.
Shea O’Hara: Kold outright told the world he was coming to hurt someone, and he didn’t fail to live up to that promise. You have to wonder, is having someone like him on the roster a smart move?
Rob Diamond: Listen, he idolized Spike, and we can’t sugarcoat the things Spike has done in the past. He’s just trying to live up to that name.
Shea O’Hara: If you say so Robert-
Rob Diamond: Don’t call me that.
Shea O’Hara: (through laughter) Okay! Well, next up on the show we had a womens tag team match featuring the young up and comers of Caitlyn Wright, and Dawn Halliwell-
Rob Diamond: I really want to call her Dawn Kane now.
Shea O’Hara: I’m sure she’d be happy to slap you in the face if you did!
Rob Diamond: Maybe I like that?
Shea O’Hara: Oh boy….AGAINST! The reunited team of Every Man’s Fantasy; Zelda Knite and Crystal Hilton.
Rob Diamond: Right off the bat the chemistry between Zelda and Crystal was there for all to see. They’ve clearly done this dance many times together. They made quick use of the tags, and tried to isolate their opponents. It was some pretty slick tag team wrestling.
Shea O’Hara: Not to count out Dawn and Caitlyn, who, for first time partners? Put a lot of trust in each other.
{Zelda and Caitlyn are the legal women as we cut to the ring. Each of them is crawling to their respective corners looking for the tag. Just as Zelda is getting close, Crystal hops over the ropes and charges across the ring, dropping a quick elbow into the back of Caitlyn, preventing her from making a tag. She smirks at Dawn, who immediately begins to climb through the ropes, but the referee comes to stop her. Crystal rubs her hand next to her eye (the crying motion) before dragging Caitlyn back to her corner where Zelda stands, with her arms out, asking Crystal what the hell she is doing.}
Shea O’Hara: Crystal is so desperate to climb out of Zelda Knites shadow that she’ll take any path to get there.
Rob Diamond: I mean it’s a sound strategy. She prevented the tag, and now….tag, she’s the legal woman in the match up.
{Back in the ring Zelda shakes her head as she steps out onto the apron, gesturing for Crystal to do what she wants. Crystal climbs the ropes and signals for the end by motioning the flash of a camera, she jumps around still on the turnbuckle and leaps off into the air with the Lights! Camera! Action! -BUT!!! Caitlyn pops up and meets Crystal mid-air with the Shoryuken!!!! The crowd explode at the feat, as both women lay breathing hard in the ring.}
Rob Diamond: Holy fuck!
Shea O’Hara: Rob!
Rob Diamond: What!? I can swear, we’re an on demand service, and that deserved it.
Shea O’Hara: It really did, what a sequence.
{Both women begin to crawl to their respective corners once more. Crystal rolls to Zelda, while holding her neck and tags her in, Caitlyn dives across the ring to tag in Dawn the crowd pop hard for both women. Zelda steps through the ropes and Dawn leaps over the ropes, the two charge at each other and begin to slam forearms into each other. Suddenly, a gap forms from the hard hits, and as they rotated Crystal tries to clock Dawn unaware with the Flashing Lights, but DAWN DUCKS AND CRYSTAL HITS ZELDA!!! Caitlyn grabs Crystal and throws her through the ropes, before hitting the ropes and coming back with a suicide dive to Crystal. Dawn looks around at the madness, and then hunches down begging Zelda to get up, she does….slowly, but turns around into a THUNDERSTRUCK!!!}
Rob Diamond: SHE HIT IT! YES! SHE HIT THE THUNDERSTRUCK!
Shea O’Hara: I...I don’t know why you’re so happy?
Rob Diamond: It means some dudes backstage owe me some money! Ha ha! YES!
{Dawn covers, ONE! …..TWO! …..THREE!!! “Shoot to Thrill” immediately begins to play as the referee holds up her arm, Caitlyn rolls in and the referee holds hers up too. The two women look at each other, before Dawn holds out her fist, after a slight moment of hesitation Caitlyn bumps her fist and the crowd cheer, before we cut back to the studio.}
Rob Diamond: I love Dawn Halliwell.
Shea O’Hara: It was a spectacular match where some miscommunication between Zelda and Crystal essentially cost them the match.
Rob Diamond: Who cares? I made five hundred bucks!
Shea O’Hara: Now it’s time to cut to Spike Kane, who has something to say about Killian Kolds actions earlier tonight.
{We cut to Spike who is sat on his desk in his office, behind him sat in the chair is Pandora Freeman, who is positively beaming.}Spike Kane: Earlier tonight Killian Kold went above and beyond to try and injure a superstar. The good news is that Max Ramsay seems like he’ll make a full recovery and may be out for a week or two. The bad news is, I cannot really take Killian out of the heavyweight title tournament, so as I don’t reward behaviour like that? Killian will enter the tournament, but he will be in a handicap match. If either of his opponents pin him or make him submit, they both will advance.
{For a few seconds the cameras hold their gaze on Spike and his super serious face, before cutting back to Rob and Shea.}
Shea O’Hara: Spike putting a roadblock in Killians way?
Rob Diamond: I don’t know if this is the right strategy. It’s like when you get abuse online, you don’t feed the trolls. I have a feeling Spike might be regretting this decision.
Shea O’Hara: That aside? It’s main event time! The first ever main event of Friday Night Fury saw Muru return to action against Ethan King, versus Waylon Stokes, versus Lucas Walker in a fatal fourway match.
Rob Diamond: The momentum swung so far and so fast in this match it was hard to tell who was on top at any given moment. Muru’s experience was on show for all to see, especially in a multi man tournament, it looked like Lucas Walker had the match won at one point when he hit the Hunters Arrow on Muru, but King broke up the pinfall.
Shea O’Hara: Then it looked like Muru had the win himself after nailing the Muru Splash on King! However Stokes was quick to dump Muru out of the ring, and it didn’t really work to his favour.
Rob Diamond: Let’s check out how it went down.
{Muru had just hit the Muru Splash on Ethan King, who’s eyes go a little cross eyed before he flops to the floor. Muru is about to go for the cover but Waylon Stokes slid in and unceremoniously dumped to the outside. Stokes goes for the cover but King kicks out at two. Stokes begins to slam the mat in frustration and is preparing to hit King with a move of his own, when Walker pops up with the SNARE TRAP! Stokes wriggles and writhes in pain as Lucas locks in the submission hold. Ethan King is crawling to the corner, and Muru is slowly pulling himself up on the apron.}
Shea O’Hara: Tap! He’s going to tap!
Rob Diamond: Let me tell you know, that hold hurts! Nobody can last long.
{Lucas pulls Stokes down to the mat with him as he wrenches on the hold, just as it looked like he was going to tap Muru stomps on them both, breaking the hold. Stokes rolls to the apron trying to get a breath. Muru squares up as Lucas climbs to his feet. The two of them stare each other down from opposite sides of the ring, the crowd go nuts!}
Shea O’Hara: Both of these men are quickly winning over this Boston crowd!
Rob Diamond: They respect Muru and his experience, and how he’s willing to get down in the trenches with the next generation, and Lucas Walker is really making a name for himself.
{The two lock up and Walker being the bigger man easily gets the advantage, he goes to whip Muru, but Muru reverses it and whips Lucas into the corner! Muru calls it out and charges across the ring leaping and nailing the Muru Splash on Walker! The big man is wobbly as Muru stomps back into the middle of the ring and points at Walker once more, the crowd are on their feet. Muru charges and leaps, BUT WALKER DROPS OUT OF THE WAY! Muru hits the turnbuckle as Walker all but judo rolls forwards and out of the way, without breaking a stride he’s right to his feet and comes back with a huge big boot, sending Muru over the ropes and to the outside!}Shea O’Hara: Oh my word! What. A. Match!
{Muru, though taking the bump is clearly not out. He’s slowly beginning to pull himself up using the security barrier. Lucas looks down at King who seems to be out cold, and Stokes who is barely moving. He nods his head furiously as he climbs up onto the turnbuckle, the crowd are all standing, not a single person sitting down. Lucas turns around and….DEATH FROM ABOVE TO THE OUTSIDE!!! Both men lay in a heap at ringside after the moonsault from the top turnbuckle to the standing Muru outside the ring. The referee slides out of the ring to check on them.}
Rob Diamond: THAT WAS NUTS! DID YOU SEE HIM!?
Shea O’Hara: Of course I did, we’re watching the same show.
Rob Diamond: He fucking flew!
Shea O’Hara: Wait, what is King doing!?
{Almost as soon as the referee slid out of the ring, King grabbed something from under the lip of the apron and bolted to his feet, screaming at Waylon to get to his feet. He slowly does and King clocks him right in the face with a huge right hand! Stokes eyes roll into the back of his head as it jerks sideways and he drops like a sack of potatoes.}
Rob Diamond: He’s got those gilded silver brass knuckles!
Shea O’Hara: That son of a bitch!
Rob Diamond: Shea!
Shea O’Hara: If you’re allowed to swear then so am I!
{King quickly slides the knucks out of the ring and goes for the cover, the referee sees and slides into the ring counting the fall…..ONE! …..TWO! …...THREE!!!! “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold blasts from the sound system as boos reign down on Ethan King, who simply smirks and begins to laugh as the referee holds his hand in the air. King climbs onto the turnbuckle and makes the “belt motion” around his waist, looking down his nose at the crowd the entire time.}
Rob Diamond: Ethan King is your first ever main event winner. Could this be a sign of the future Shea?
Shea O’Hara: A man as cunning, and talented as Ethan King could definitely become champion.
Rob Diamond: That is all we have time for tonight. We thank you for joinings us on Combat Wrestlings first ever Friday Night Fury!
Shea O’Hara: It’s a goodbye from me!
Rob Diamond: And a goodbye from me!
Shea O’Hara: See you next week when the tournaments officially begin!
